A downloadable game for Windows and Linux

The beings from outer space have come and they are not looking for peace. You have just joined the taskforce as a commander to fight them back. Recruit new soldiers and send your best ones to battle to protect earth.

Game made together with Leonovsky for 7DFPS and PROCJAM 2020. Made with FTE QuakeWorld engine.

IMPORTANT: Noticed there's a bug in the released version, when you have a soldier die and the game asks you to pick another one, make sure you actually select a soldier. If you accidentally click deploy without selecting a soldier, the game will go into a weird state and you won't be able to refill your primary weapon ammunition.

How to play:

- Check SETTINGS menu in-game for controls.

- Start a new game.

- Hire new soldiers in "Team Management" view if you have the credits.

- Go to briefing, select the soldier you want to play as, and deploy.

- Complete the objectives and stay alive. Once a soldier dies they're gone for good. You lose the game if all your soldiers are dead.

Install instructions

Download the .zip, extract it somewhere, run the fteglqw executable. If your antivirus throws a fit about the executable, it's a false positive, this is unfortunately a known issue with the engine. Looking for ways to fix it.

For linux you have to chmod +x the fteqw64 file and then run it, having openal installed can make sound better if it sounds glitchy.

This is a known false positive with the engine binary. the engine is free open source software and I know it's safe, but need to figure out how to stop these false positives since I can't blame people for not trusting it

Really great base for a game, but kind of disappointed that nothing happened after finishing mission 13. Hope you expand on this in the future.
